Practicing veterinary medicine fulfills my childhood dream to care for animals. Diagnosing and treating my patients who can’t “speak” appeals to me since it employs a knowledge of medicine with the ability to solve puzzles (I still do crosswords and sudokus constantly).

I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine but have a special interest in surgery and endocrinology.

After graduating from The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1974, I have practiced small animal medicine in the Washington area. My wife, Lynne, a recreation therapist in Baltimore City Public Schools and I, with our two sons, moved to the City of Falls Church in 1982 shortly before I joined and became a partner in the Falls Church Animal Hospital. Having been a member and chairman of the Business Development Commission and currently a member of the City Employee Review Board keeps me involved with the city. My wife introduced me to Kundalini yoga which helps deal with life’s stresses such as being a Redskin fan.
